Hi All,
I installed a fresh ESX 3.5 Update 2 host, applied the Time Bomb fix and added it to our infrastructure (the build number now is 110181).To be sure I have all the most recent updates I check againt the baseline from the Update Manager. There is one Non compliant update; ESX server 3.5.0 Update 1.
Is this an error or do I need to install update 1 seperatly on a update 2 install???
Who can help me out? Many thank!
Matthijs
Hello,
Exclude it within your baseline. This is a known issue. I found the same oddness and reported it as well. The release notes for the VUM upgrade cover it.

Thanks!
So it is an error in the update manager, not in the ESX 3.5 Update 2 or the TB hotfix. I assume the final version of update 2 (with the Time Bomb hotfix) will NOT resolve this issue, and we have to wait for the next Update mangerrelease?
