Hi,
I'm dual-booting ESX server with Linux. When I boot ESX server it starts up ok, but I hit an error when checking the root file system:
checking root file system...
fsck.ext3: Filesystem has unsupported features (dev/sda5)
e2fsck: Get a newer version of e2fsck!
Is there a way to get around this?
Thanks,
Cam
dual-booting esx is unsupported. technically esx is redhat linux, but only for booting and then the custom vmware kernel takes over

Ok, good to know. Within the vmware custom kernel are there features for ext3 that are unsupported?
debugfs reports that the partition has the following features: has_journal, resize_inode, dir_index, filetype, sparse_super, large_file
Thanks,
Cam
