Unable to set date range in Performance Chart

When trying to chart the performance of our VMs in vSphere we are unable to select the " FROM " - " TO " range. As a result we can only see charting information for the past day. The field is greyed out.

See attached screen shot.

your charts are missing day, week, month, year.... Anyway you can restart the vCenter Server Service?

or vpxa on the Host in question

service vmware-vpxa restart

or try clicking out of that VM, clicking on another and then back to that VM again to see if the chart options are listed correctly.

Finally, if not using vCenter, try restarting hostd

service mgmt-vmware restart

Your suggestion did not work unfortunately. We are seeing this on all Vsphere host systems - we are running vSphere V 4.0.0 build 208111 VMWare ESXi V 4.0.0.0 Build 236512.

you should see "past day" if not using vCenter. try restarting hostd. It was a late edit to my original reply

Are you saying that vSphere does not allow for more than 1 day of reporting?

If it does then it might be a bug in the version we are running. We have multiple servers hosting ESXi and they all exibit the same problem.

stand alone does not offer more than a day. If you manage the host with vCenter you will get historical data
