Unable to Create VM using NFS as Datastore

I have created a NFS share with around 500GB in RHEL4.0 box. In the VI i have created the VMKernel for NFS and also was able to successfully mount from the VI client. Now when i try to create a VM with 8GB harddisk space the VM is created successfully but when i try to create a VM with 16GB and above it gives me an error messsage saying "a general system error occured: Internal error". Does anyone know why this error appears.

Hello,

I would look through the nfs logs on your RHEL4 host. Most likely you have hit a size limit on a per file size. If this is the case you can use instead a 2gbsparse file format to extend past 4GBs. But the first place to look is the logs for NFS.
