Hi:
I am sitting in Puerto Rico. Time Zone: Caracas, La Paz.
ESX server shows the correct hour.
login as: XXXX
XXXX @prXXXX's password:
Last login: Wed Oct 10 11:13:57 2007 from prXXXXX7.XXXX
Wed Oct 10 11:52:24 GMT-4 2007
Now, if I logon to the ESX via Virtual Infrastructure Client (No Virtual Center available at this moment)
I have notice that when accessing the performance TAB for the ESX box or the Virtual Machines, the real time indicators are running with 9 hours difference. I am working on the Pharmaceutical area,,, so time settings for reports should be accurate.
Any ideas or suggestions???? Thanks in advance
Check the time and timzone :smileyalert: configuration of the system running the VI client.
The time zone for the client... my workstation is the same GMT-4 Caracas, La PAZ.
My ESX box have the following configuration: ETC/GMT -4
Last login: Wed Oct 10 11:52:19 2007 from prXXXXX.XXm
ZONE="Etc/GMT-4"
UTC=false
ARC=false
So, at 8:00 am I have on the performance TAB - 12:00 AM; 8 hours diference?????
Got it
I was with the wrong time zone for Puerto Rico on the ESX. The correct is as follow:
ZONE="America/Puerto_Rico"
UTC=false
ARC=false
Once edited I used:
cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Puerto_Rico /etc/localtime
Everything is OK now.
