To further expand on the previous post, sVmotion will work with VMs that are configured with RDMs to move the VMDKs. However, if you are looking to move the actual RDMs from one storage array to a different storage array you will need to use the vmkfstools with the import option to copy the RDM, which will require downtime for the VM. Once the RDM is copied over to the new target storage array you would then need to configure the VM to point to the new RDMs. I have done this to move VMs from an HP XP12000 to a HP EVA 4400 and in another scenario to move VMs from EMC CX300 to a HP EVA 6000 all with 100% success.
