I have a SQL server VM image with 10 disks using multiple datastores. I am trying to storage vmotion only 3 vmdks that currently reside on one datastore to another a new datastore because of space issues. I tried the storage vmotion plugin and Remote CLI and I keep receiving the same message:
The requested Storage VMotion would move a virtual machine's disks without assigning the virtual machine a new home but such a move is not supported on the source host.
Is there anyway of moving individual vmdks using storage vmotion and leaving the original vmx and other configuration files where there are currently located.
Any assistance would be most appreciated.
