I havent used these tools, I use custom Powershell scripts through the VI Toolkit to search for Snapshots, then you can build whatever logic you need around those commands. The basic command is as simple as Get-VM | Get-Snapshot
I've never used SnapAlert so can't comment on that, however have used SnapHunter extensively. SnapHunter is fantastic - it's free, simple to use and most importantly - reliable.

Can't speak on either, since I don't use those. I believe in multi-purpose tools, since they are so much more versatile. We use http://www.robware.net/ rvtools 2.0.
It's a free utility also.

I have used both, they are both good tools. I have not used rvtools yet. I would keep both within your toolbox as they each find slightly different things at times. Also one works from the RCLI and I like that aspect.
