In my case i've a virtual iSCSI appliance. This appliance is not availble whilst ESX is booting or shuting down.
Therefor ESX boot takes very long because the Server tries to find the volume.
Another point is that ESX doesnt shut down because he tries to unmount the missing iSCSI Volume.
Is there a timeout value i can adjust under advanced options?
