What is the easiest way to migrate data from one SAN to another without affecting the VMs?

mcowger is correct, there are other way's to accomplish this task, but svmotion is by far the easiest, less painful ways of completing this type of admin task.

Storage Vmotion is your friend (in most cases )

do you have VCB setup? (and a VCB *proxy) server setup? you could take a VCB backup then restore/ *import your backup to the new SAN... ive done this method as well...

Hi,

With Storage Vmotion you don´t have any downtime at a VM level. With VCB and Converter to do the restore you would have some downtime
