We are in the process of upgrading to VMWare 3.5 and we have a phased approach to getting all virtual servers onto new hosts and then upgrading the old hosts to new hosts and then migrating moe virtual servers, etc., until complete.
We have HA & DRS turned on and have it set for automatic. We would like to know, as we proceed, how well it's working. Is there any report or report generator that will show us how it's going after each step in the process? For example, we have 3 clusters and each cluster currently has 2 hosts and there are about 30 virtual servers in each cluster. As we add more hosts and virtuals to these clusters, we want to be sure that the virtuals are not constantly moving from one host to another. Looking at some report that might tell us which guests are on which hosts and how long would give us some insight into this.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
