Replication of VM's on EMC Celerra NAS

Does anyone have any experience of setting up replication between two Celerra's? ?

The VM's sit on VMFS volumes on the box (not using RDM's may be something I come to regret?) therefore I believe that Replication Manager won't do the job. Crash consistent replicas are fine.

There is a fibre connection between them that we will use to extend our current GigE network over.

What are my options?

Thanks.

I believe you are right that RDMs are needed to use Replication Manager.

The only other option is to use NFS rather than iSCSI, then you can use Celerra Replicator (simple SAN to SAN replication, no client software required).

This is what I am using on current project; works OK!

Hi Jonathan.

In this case we are going to use esxReplicator, but thanks anyway.

Cheers.
