Removing VM from DRS cluster.

Hi All,

I have 3 ESX servers in my datacenter. I have HA and DRS enabled.

One of the ESX servers (esx2) has additional switch configured using one of the external NIC to connect to a separate VLAN (secVLAN). A highly secured VM is connected to this VLAN. The VM gets disconnected from network when it moved to other ESX nodes due to DRS.

I wanted to run the secured VM always from ESX2 node only.

Is there any way to remove this secured VM alone from DRS cluster without removing ESX server from the cluster?

yes, edit cluster settings and focus on "virtual machine options".

In right side select vm and in combo box select disable.

bye Alberto

Select "Edit settings.." when right clicking your cluster...In there, you're able to configure HA/DRS actions for individual VMs.
