Hello everybody, I have a 2 quick question to ask.
1)
I'm trying to work out what exactly is reporting my infrastructure client under performance/memory for the cluster.
I have 2 hosts in the cluster with 16Gb of RAM each and a dozen of VMs running. The VMs config goes from 2Cpu-2Gb to 4Cpu-4Gb max. Looking inside theVMs I can see hardly 500Mb usage for VMs with 4Gb assigned.
We do no min resource reservation .
I've initially though the % or RAM reported under the cluster is the sum of the RAM assigned to each individual powered on VM, but I can see the usage line floating between a min of 75 and (according to the interface) a max ever recorded of 140.6% in the last 6 month, and as we're not stopping any VM my initial explanation doesn't sound very logical.
May I ask you what is this actual Memory value telling me?
Question 2: Why don't I have any data (still under memory) for other metrics like: Grantes, Active, Swap, Shared common, Balloon ?
I can add the metrics to the chart but no data is displayed.
Any input would be much appreciated!
