RCLI appiance error with snapalert.pl RCLi (104314)

Guys,

I am trying to run the snapalert.pl from the RCLi appliance tool. In my previuos post, I had mentioned that I want to create a central location, where I can manage my complete VI infrastructure, in that regards, I am moving forward...

I have downloaded the tool called snapalert.pl () which will scan and tell the the snapshots VM. But, when I execute this script, I get following error message

service_url argument missing at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.4/VMware/VICommon.pm l ine 272

Vim::new('Vim', 'service_url', 'undef') called at /usr/local/share/perl/ 5.8.4/VMware/VICommon.pm line 408

Vim::login() called at ./snapalert.pl line 26

Any ideas/suggestions for this script and how do you manage your infrstructure from a central location ?

Thanks

From the error output, it looks like you might have not defined the SDK URL for your VC. Did you follow the directions and define all attributes?

i.e.

my $url = 'https://vc.yourdomain.com/sdk';

Thanks, I got that fixed, but still I am not getting email messages. If, I can get email successfully, then I can set a cron job.

Thanks
