QLA2432 vs ESXTOP

Hi there!

We have 3 HP BL480c with QLA2432 HBAs in our cluster connected to a EVA4400 SAN. I am trying to monitor the disk performances using esxtop but can't seam to get any numbers out of it.

In esxtop, the "ACTV", "QUED", "%USD" and "LOAD" columns only have a - (dash) in them.

We are using ESX3.5u2 right now, update to u3 and new QLogic drivers is planned.

Anybody knows why it's like this and how to get the numbers?

You need to 'expand' the LUNs:

esxtop > d > E > vmhba#, then you can sort by:

r:READS/s w:WRITES/s

R:MBREAD/s T:MBWRTN/s

N:Default

'?' gives you all your options.

If you want to see latency info you you to 'f' and add the LATSTATS field (j), columns will show up on far right.
