Process "racsvc" takes up most Service Console CPU resources ?

From TOP command, we find that there is a process named "racsvc" takes up a lot of CPU resources in the Service Console.

From the discussion forum, we learn that it is a DELL agent. We have OpenManage installed on those ESX Hosts. Does "racsvc" used by OpenManage ? Is there any way to prevent it from using so much CPU resources - can we give it a limit of CPU used ?

Thanks

Hello,

I would contact your Dell support agent. Yes there are ways to limit the resources of a process in the service console. Look at the 'man renice' manual page for assistance with this.

DELL support staff hasn't replied directly and just asked us to install the latest version of OpenManage. If the problem still exists, ask us to get back to them.

We really doubt whether it is the solution.
