Problems to configuring ha cluster

I am configuring HA for the firs time. This message appears when I try to add a host to the cluster.

"Unable to contact a primary agent in cluster"

Any idea??

You may want to check that the Virtual Center is able to communicate to the ESX hosts via dns hostname (FQDN) and IP via ping or tracert. Then try vice versa to eliminate possible network settings.

hey,

HA is very reliant on DNS.

Ensure that you can resolve all ESX server with each other by FQDN and short name. Also do the same with Virtual Centre.

If you having issues with this, check the DNS servers, and also the /etc/hosts file.

I found the solution!!

I had to write das.isolationaddress "valid ip address" on advanced cluster configuration.
