Problem with host in HA cluster after latest patches

I applied the most recent patches to 4 hosts yesterday. I'm having issues with one. It's in a HA cluster, in Virtual Center it says The HA Agent is disabled. I've rebooting, restarting the mgmt-vmware service.

I have another two hosts in another cluster but didn't have any issues with them after applying the patches.

I can't remove the host as there is now no option to "enter maintenance mode".

Is there a service I can stop to achieve the same result so I can try removing it and adding it back in?

I disconnected and reconnected the host and then the "Exit Maintenance Mode" was now an option. Virtual Center wasn't displaying it as being in Maintenance Mode.

Can I award myself points? Smiley Happy

Thank you I did the same thing. I applied the new patch to 8 ESX hosts and after a reboot all of them came back except one which should HA agent as being disabled. I rebooted several times and was scratching my head because I saw no errors.

Thanks for the tip worked like a charm. Smiley Happy
