Whenever we create a new vm/ do a p2v conversion, all the disks on that vm have the same name (they are stored on different storage locations).
Vmware software is fine with this, however our backup software (vranger pro) isn't... The backups fail, until we can schedule a server outage to rename the virtual disks!
Is there a way to prevent vmware from creating 2 disks with the same name?
Arranging server outages is difficult for us as the servers need to be accessible 24/7
