Powered OFF VM when host is shuting down, but setting is to SUSPEND VM

Hello!

Maybe someone can help!

I Have ESX 3.5. Server with VM which are configured to AUTO shutdown in Suspend

mode when host is shutting down.

So when I perform command "shutdown -h now", the host is going down and also do a suspend of all VM.

So the problem is that in some cases host is suspending all VM but in some cases it is suspending

some of first VM and other has been POWERED OFF, so the state of that VM

when I start HOST is like them has been POWERED OFF HARDLY.

I suppose maybe that is because of some delay when host in suspending VM and it take too much time

so the INIT process is KILLING that process ???

Is there any setting which is setting time how much INIT process can let vmware-autostart process to do its job and suspend all VM ???

hi,

have you faced this behavior on giving only "shutdown" and not options?
