Performance monitoring question

When I go into analyze performance data on any of my VM's or the Host itself through the Virtual Infrastructure Client performance tab, when i goto change the chart option, the time range is greyed out. Attached is a picture of what I mean.

Hi Chadd39

The option is black and you can modify it when yo choose the custom chart option.

This option is not available in your example.

That's because "real time" means it's current. Meaning it's LIVE data. You can't change the range on data that is LIVE.

If you choose a custom time, then you change the settings.

Click on a VM, click the performance tab, then you will see custom for CPU, Memory and Disk. Some performance meters only allow 5 minute stats, and you can't set your own custom options.

Custom is only available with VC. When you directly connect the ESX host / you don't have VC custom is not available.
