Off topic - sort of

we switched to Dell Servers, got in about 7 of them today. I am not able to find OpenManage 5.2 for Linux Enterprise 3.0. I find 5.1.

Can someone post a link where Dell OpenManage 5.2 is hiding?

I don't think 5.2 is supported for ESX yet. We use 5.1, it works fine.

Actually, 5.2 is supported with 3.02, which is what we are going to run on the new servers.

Oh, well you may want to call dell, they can send you a link on where to download the 5.2. It may not be downloadable on the dell site, but the techs may be able to tell you where to find it.

Is there much difference between 5.2 and 5.1? WE have 5.2 on our Windows servers, but couldn't see any real difference.

It is on one of the CDs you got in the box.

The latest I am finding on there FTP is 5.0, but I believe this ISO[/url] contains what you are looking for.

This PDF from May 2007 contains instructions on installing OpenManage on ESX
