Not able to logon to the Vmware esx server guest os after completing its evaluation

I was working on vmware esx server 3.5. Unfortunately its evaluation got completed. Now I'm not able to logon to the system. I tried to revise the license, where it is asking for the Serial Number/ License activation code which I didn't recieved at the time of registration. I only recieved the username and password of the registration.

I have lot of data in the system. I'm not able to retrieve it back. Please help me in this issue.

what you can do is the following.

install vmware workstation or vmware player on your desktop.

create a new virtual machine on it and install virtual center 2.5 on top of it.. use all the default values.

add your esx host to this virtualcenter server.

now you have another 90 days time..
