Not able to detect 2 LUNS of 2 TB each from Netapp FAS3140

Hi Friends,

I'm Not able to detect 2 LUNS of 2 TB each from Netapp FAS3140, I'm able to detect 1 LUNS of 2 TB, is there any restriction ??, presently I'm running on evaluation.

When I testing with small 3-4 LUNS, then it is detecting fine, w/o any problem.

What could be the solution.

Another problem:

For taking LUNS from netappp, I've set Vmkernel and additional IP for that as per document, what is the use of giving seprate IP for this???

Note:Disk are from FC shelf for your information.

Thanks,

Rashid Mustafa

There is no limitation in evaluation mode.

Are you sure that both LUN are < 2TB (remember the ESX limitation)?

Both the LUNS are 1.98 TB , When I'm doing scaning "ISCSI" initiator, is is showing only 1 LUN of 1.98 TB, other 1.98 TB are not showing.

Rashid

Look in /var/log/messages and /var/log/vmkernel. Something tells me there is a problem with the 2nd LUN, and it should state that in the logs. Try to mask out one LUN, and rescan. Then, mask out the 1st LUN and mask in the 2nd LUN. Do you see each LUN correctly when it's by itself?

How many controller available on your netapps for iscsi target? Could be your second LUN belong to another controller, port & iscsi target?
