Newb question about haTask-ha-root-pool-vim

Hey all..

I made some changes with some timeout parameters on my 4 esx 3.5 boxes.

Now I need to restart the management agents on ESX.. I've read the docs and it mentions that doing so may impact running tasks...

Well, checking the active tasks give me HA tasks..

# vmware-vim-cmd vimsvc/task_list

(ManagedObjectReference) [

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-127986',

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-127987',

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-127996',

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-127997',

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-128007',

'vim.Task:haTask-ha-root-pool-vim.ResourcePool.updateConfig-128008',

Will I harm my system doing so?

Thanks

restarting the management agents will not generate an HA event, so you will be fine. The Host(s) and it's guest(s) will show up as not responding/disconnected while the agents are restarted, but will return to vCenter inventory with no impact to the host(s) or guest(s)
