Hi,
Just ran through a test install of ESX 3.0.1 and found the HP Insight Agents 7.5.1a failed to install due to a version check in the install751vm.sh script. Upon investigation I have found that HP have released a 7.6.0 version and also the VMware documentation states the following....

Management Application ESX Server 3.0 ESX Server 3.0.1[/b]
HP Insight Manager 7.5.1a X
HP Insight Manager Agent 7.6.0 X X
Latest 7.6.0 HP Insight Agent for ESX 3.0.1

Just re-testing and will feed back any issues....
Michael.

No prob...
Agents: 7.7.0
Firmware: 7.6.1 (dated mid-Dec. Note: There is newer firmware out since this that I have not tested)
HBAs: Emulex LPE1150 (x2) (firmware remains at whatever it was from the factory)
We have a NC380T card installed as well.
CPUs are 5160's
Correction, the firmware was fromt the end of december:
I think HP provided it before it was released to the public. This mentions the resolution of several USB issues.

I saw your messabout the "fork in the road" with the SIM Agents and 2.5.x vs. 3.x.
Is there a common point on the HP sight that we can always start at that will take us to the latest for each?
Go to http://www.hp.com/go/support, select "Drivers and Downloads" and type in the server model. That is the best way to obtain the latest agents/software/BIOS/firmware of the host platform you have within your environment.
ahoogerhuis.... you are a GOD
I've been trying to fix this issue for 3 days - its the same problem with the 7.8 agents as well.
Thanks!
