Networking issue on ESX 3.5

We have an ESX Server 3.5.0, 123630. We are running 4 virtual machines on this host. We are facing performance issues on VM's and noticed more latency when tried to ping the host. The latency is in the range of 6-10ms. At present only two VMs are running and two VMs are switched off.

When all the 4 VMs are switched on the latency goes upto 50-60 ms.

Tried seperating VM network and Service console network but no luck.

Please share your inputs.

What is the configuration of your ESX host? What sort of CPUs and how much memory? - How much memory do your have assigned to your Service Console? - remember the virtual networking is done by the vmkernel and service console with ESX 3.5 so if the host is running short on resources then networking can be impacted.

ESX host Configuration - 8 CPU, 32GB Memory

CPU Information - Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E7330 @ 2.40 Ghz

Service console Memory - 800MB
