Network Policy: Traffic Shaping question?

Hi there,

I was under the impression that the shaping parameters apply always to each virtual NIC in the virtual switch.

Now the question is what if the network traffic shaping policy is not defined at the virtual switch and rather it is being defined at a port group? My understanding is that port group based policies overwrite virtual switch ones. but what if I have two port groups with two different shaping parameters? Can I have one port group with let's say a 1MB outbound network bandwidth and another with 10MB outbound network bandwidth?

Saludos,

Jose Maria Gonzalez,

As long as you over ride any conflicting vswitch policies, both port groups should be able to have separate individual properties.
