Network Adapters

Hello,

i have just installed a new esx 3.0.2 server.

now the esx server shows nic 0,1 and then 4,5,6,7.

he jumps from 1 to 4 and

how can i configure that esx show me the nics correct. 0,1,2,3,4,5

Please clarify: What command or tool do you use to check the NICs?

What is shown in the VI client (Host configuration / network adapters)?

You'll probably have to change it at the hardware level since that is what ESX goes off of, once you change it there ESX should automatically update. See the below posts that talk about changing this....
