NTP Issue with BST on ESX 3.01 host

Hi,

I have an issue where I have followed:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=1339

But my time is still 1 hour behind I assume that this is due to the time being GMT when it should be BST at the moment. The thing that confuses me is that our time server has correct time and so do all our clients.

regards,

Paul

I assume there must be a conf file regarding GMT or whatever time zone you are?

From the cli run "date" and "clock" - what time zone does it state? If it's in the wrong tz - update.

Clock returns correct time zone and time but date returns hour behind time and correct time zone?

Why is date in 24 hour format and clock in 12 hour format?

Also on one host it has BST with correct time which is ideal where as other one has GMT with correct time?

Ok thanks for that, I still have a problem though where if i run the date command i get a different time to the clock command?

And why is date in 24 hour format and clock in 12 hour format?

regards,

Paul

Is it also correct that the "clock" command is the system bios time and the "date" command is the ESX time?
