I have Mysql database installed on red hat linux 5 VM and need to create image file.
How do I create 25 GB image file to store Mysql data and log files, each in separate disk partition?
5 gig will be for log files and will be mounted at /home/mysql/logs.
20 gig will be for data files and will be mounted at /home/mysql/data.
Hi Al8
Are you asking how to add two new virtual disks?

Hi E.A.,
Yes, how would you add two new virtual disks ?
Thanks.

Shutdown the VM, clock Edit Virtual Machine Settings.

Edit VM configuration from VI client.
Add new virtual disk and follow the instructions
Repeat the task two time.
After that ... If you can reboot your VM if not take a look to
I hope this may help you.
bye

Okay, Thanks.
Thanks. Still need further observation and testing to see if set up requirements are met for my purpose.
