Multicore and VI 3.5

We use IBM Director to manage most of our hardware here. I configured an ESX 3.5u3 server to be able to talk to IBM Director. After Director was able to successfully connect to the device I browsed through the inventory and noticed that Director was reporting that the processors were single core. Is it possible for the ESX host to enable/disable cores?

That's a problem with Director. ESX works perfectly on multicore systems.

Figured, there are also inaccuracies reporting memory information as well. Thanks for the prompt reply.
