Moving Host(s) to Cluster for HA and DRS

I have four host and want to move them into a cluster to start using DRS and HA. Can I creat the cluster and add the host(s) to the cluster live without bringing down the Host or VM running on the host? Also any documentation or advice welcome.

yes you can move hosts into a cluster while the esx hosts are running - this is vmwares documentation on DRS/HA -

Also be aware to use DRS/HA all the hosts muct see the datastores and networks used by the vms and for DRS the hosts must be compatible to support vmotion -
