When i start esx 3.0.1 i can see for some seconds commands to clone copy vmwares. then the commands are disappearing. what do i have to do so the stay?

Sometimes the VI client displays functions which are only available when using VC when in fact it is connected to an ESX host only.
This (IMHO) is a bug.
