Maximum number of NFS datastores

I've observed that a VMware ESX 3.i server can only support a maxiumum of 32 NFS datastores. Therefore it appears that if I were to use a NFS filer to store VMDK images, I can only configure a maximum of 32 NFS datastores on the server and store these on a maximum of 32 NFS exported files systems from the filer side. Am I right on this maximum NFS store number? Are there any plans to increase the maximum number of ESX NFS datastores ? I realize that the maximum number of iSCSI or FC LUNs are much higher (256).

PS: Apologies if I've overlooked a more recent maximum configuration description.

Thanks,

Sri

32 is the max. you will also want to consider increasing the max tcp heap size. If you create more than 8 I would complete whats in this kb:

32 NFS stores is a large number. Each Datastore can have multiple VM's stored on them. No reason to create a new nfs share for each vm from the same NAS.
