Maximum QLE4062C dual port card in ESX3.5 ?

VMware document for config max says we can not have more than one dual port QLE4062C card in single ESX host as it is not supported . Do you guys think the same?

I Could not find it on the HCL - is that the exactly model? Besides, what doc you read for this information?

The limitation is in fact "2 hardware iSCSI initiatiors per host". In fact, with dual port you will have 2 initiators. Unless you can disable the dual port thing you will not be able to add a second HBA.

That is not correct . I can see all the 4 port two HBA.

Well, the only thing now if check if this will work correctly. As some other limitations, they have the possibility to be trespassed but really does not work correctly if maintained.

I would never place this ESX on a production environment if I were you.

Marcelo,

Not sure what you have understood . I have 40+ PROD ESX host having same config with 3000+ VM running over 1 year. All stable and do you still want me to believe what you have said ?
