Major differences between ESX 1.x, ESX 2.x and ESX 3.x

I’m preparing for VCP exam this Friday,

Could someone please explain me what are the major differences between ESX 1.x, ESX 2.x and ESX 3.x[/b].

There is too many to list and you will not need to really know that for the exam.

This is my second attempt and I did get two questions regarding why will you choose ESX 3.x and not ESX 1.x and vise versa.

If you please know some article that I can find more information that will be great.

There is no article that I know of but with ESX3 you get HA, DRS, vMotion, SMP to name a few

Is that meaning that you do not get HA, DRS, vmotion and SMP in ESX 2.x or ESX 1.x.

If you can please answer this question than that’s all I need to know.

This might help, Vmotion and vSMP do exist in ESX 2.x. HA, DRS and Consolidated Backup are all new to VI3

They do but did not come about until late in the 2.x series
