Hi,
I recently came into an issue after trying to do a storage vmotion that failed in between. It left the VM with duplicated disks (some called DMotion...) after i rebooted the host, the guest restarted the vmotion and finished correctly this time but i still can see some duplicate disks.
I would like to know how to see which disks are currently used by the VM so i can delete the uneeded vdisks ( i know i can have a look to the vmx file but i would like to know if there is a command)
Edit the vm settings. Click on each drive, and on the right-hand side, it will tell you which file represents that drive

#cd /vmfs/volumes/$Datastore (Replace $Datastore with your Datastore)
#find -name *.vmdk
./pdc1/P2V4Linux-flat.vmdk
./pdc1/P2V4Linux.vmdk
./SSLVPN/noxLab3-flat.vmdk
./SSLVPN/noxLab3.vmdk
./SSLVPN/noxLab3_1-flat.vmdk
./SSLVPN/noxLab3_1.vmdk
./40EFW/40EFW-flat.vmdk
./40EFW/40EFW.vmdk
Hope it give you some idea..
