Hello
We have a customer with a remote site with 3 ESX host 3.5U3. I do not why but these ESXs can not reach the License server. The error message is like: The Request failed because the remote server took too long to respond</font>
All the other servers that are pointing to that VCenter/License server are working fine.
I did a ping test between the VC/license server and the ESXs and both are able to resolve the FQDN.
From the hosts to the VC a standard ping test shows 200ms of delay. The Firewall ports are open
Any idea? Which is the minimun bandwith to ensure that a remote ESX can contact an query a remote license server?

Hello.
Looks like that may be too much latency. VMware kb 1007358 discusses it, but doesn't specify what exact value is considered too low.
Good Luck!
ESXes that can reach license server - do they belong to the same customer and placed in the same location?
Ensure that port 27000 is not blocked on firewall and ESXes can reach this port on license server.

Hello
Yes, all the ESX are from the same customer
I tried to test if the ESX hosts can reach the port 27000/27010 but they do not have telnet.
Thanks and regards
Federico

I meant: all ESXes, including those that can reach license server and get licenses?
If only some ESXes can't - check the difference between those that can and that can not. If all ESXes of this particular customer can't - check if customer firewall blocks port 27000.
