LVN.EnableResignature Naming Question

I have an ESX cluster with 10 hosts to manage my virtual machines. I also have an 11th host which does not participate as part of the cluster, and I use it for recovery purposes.

I present storage to all 11 machines from an IBM SAN, and there are daily flashcopies of all LUNs that are kept for quick recovery. Only the 11th box, not part of the cluster, can see the flashcopies (as well as the regular ones), and it has LVM.EnableResignature set to 1 (enabled).

My question is this: Each time I do a rescan on my 11th box (the recovery one) it resignatures and renames the flashcopied LUNs but names them something like snap-00000004-sanvm02 (1). Is there anywhere I can change the rename, so that it would automatically read something more palatable, like snapshot02? or snapshot-sanvm02?

Do not think you can get around this

The new label will be snap-(generation number)-(label), or snap-(generation number)-(uuid) if there is no label

So before resignature: /vmfs/volumes/lun1

After resignature: /vmfs/volumes/snap-00000008-lun1

I haven't been able to find anything about changing it either, so I figured I'd ask.

If anyone does find a solution, please let me know.
