that would be nice if you could get an already printed out book of all the VI3 documentation. The documentation is changing often, so my choice would to be just save the .pdf's to your system, print them out if needed and check back periodically for updated information.
Hope this helps.
When my company first purchased ESX 3.0 we got printed admin guide, server config etc and the media to go with it, but since then I have been studying for VCP on ESX 3.5 so d/loaded all the PDF's and quite literally spent a whole day printing off (duplex) and binding the things
I'm not good at reading and studying from "on screen" PDF's so in my opinion it was worth the little bit of effort..
regards
Paul
Yeah, that's what I'm doing as I go. I just have a few OS's that have official printed guides and documents. It's just so nice to have that compact printed instruction rather than toting around a big thick binder.
So we're in the process of ordering VI3 Enterprise and VirtualCeneter Management server. Will any books come with it?
Hello,
No books come with anything as you get a license redemption key, and everything is then downloaded. The PDFs as well..... The documents change regularly so having printed copies may not be the best way to go. But you could print your own or invest on some of the other books out there.

I'm not sure about that.. it may be worth seeing if a "media kit" can be added at the time of purchase. You may need to pay a little extra but will be worth the extra cash so you can study/learn
Isn't that for VMware server and not ESX? I have been playing around with VMware Server; Installing the eval copy of virtual center right now. But I'm a newbie so I could sure be wrong.:)
DOH! no you are correct mate, that is for VMware server (apologies)
I certainly got a media kit when we 1st ordered ESX (via IBM) .. but I'm not sure why or how this was..
