I just updated one of my servers with all the updates in UpdateManager. Just last week I had done a test box to U4 153875, which is still reported as the latest download build. Now, today I have a server reporting as 158874. Was there something I missed? I didn't check all the individual descriptions before starting the remediation.

no, but there were quite a few patches released on 4/29. That is what you are seeing.

Moved to the ESXi 3.5 forum. If you look at the download page - http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/download/ (select ESXi) you'll see that regular patches are releases to address bugs and security issues.
Dave - I am not running ESXi.

It's moved back.
So technically speaking, is build 158874 'Update 4'?
I haven't seen any place in 3i where the update number is explicity stated, I've only seen references to the build number.
Build 158874 is the build level with the current patch updates after U4.

Hi Jamieorth,
Yes, that's the number I was looking for early today.
So how did you come to this number. Thats what I would like to know how to do.
Thanks,
Mike
That build can also be a U3 with patches applied. The build number can be misleading.
