Greetings.
I'm trying to install a new nic, at host no VM, do anyone knows where do I look for
information about? I've been looking at KB without results. In redhat long time ago, there were some
utilities to detect them but I can not find them at the console. Any help
would be apreciated...
Thanks
Hi - If the nic is supported by your version of ESX (3.5) the nic will be detected automatically. If it's not displayed then it's not supported.
Check the VMware HCL

Hello,
From the command line use 'lspci' to list the available PCI devices, one of those should be your pNIC. However as the other poster stated, if the pNIC is not on the HCL it will generally NOT work.
