Installing a new NIC card on host

I just received new Intel PCI-E NIC cards for my hosts. I mounted the cd rom and so I can see the Intel driver disc. I typed the ls command so I can see what is on the disc. From there I am not sure on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

First of all you have to be sure that new NIC is on VMware HCL list or ESX 3.5, have you checked ? if it does there is a big chance that it will be discovered automatically by OS if not you have to find and install drivers for ESX 3.5

I didn't realize that ESX 3.5 already contains the drivers for that particular card. Everything works fine.
