Installing NIC's

I need to install a couple of Intel quad port NIC's into my host servers. Is there a certain procedure I need to follow?

Driver/modules are included on the boot files system for the ESX host.

Shut down the server, install the NICs, power back up and the host should see the new physical NICs available to assign to portgroups.

Will I need to load drivers for the NIC's?

Just out of curiosity, where do those get stored? I'm guessing there is a repository for all major vendor hardware? I have not seen this referenced in any books.

ESX only supports a limited set of hardware, check the HCL list that the card is supported.
