Installing ESX 3.5U3 on HP BL45p G1 - boot stuck

Hi all,

after installing the ESX 3.5U3 on HP BL45p G1 no way to access to host by internet browser or Virtual Infrastructure Client.

After the first reboot the hosts takes lots and lots of time to wake up.

esxtop return 100% CPU usage, all the vmware demons won't start

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

How were you able to see the esxtop output? Did you start in service console only mode? You are using regular esx 3.5, or ESXi?

Yes, I'm using regular ESX 3.5U3. The sshd is the only service who accept connections.

So, when you ssh in, can you run 'service mgmt-vmware status', and vmware-cmd -l?

If you can get in through SSH, then ESX is booting, at least to a point. The above two commands will see if hostd is running.
