Information about HA

Hello,

I am not sure to understand how the HA works. I have 2 ESX in a cluster. I have got the HA without VMOTION & DRS options.

My cluster seems in good configuration. I try to simulate a crash of one ESX. In fact I disable network ports on my switch to simulate a lost of network.

I have believed when an ESX is out of network then VMs on this host were Power Off and restarted on an other ESX. For me VM are only unavailable.

Thank you

Check the isolation response into the HA Cluster properties.

Change it to power-off.

Sure that you have removed ALL the network cables?

I have unplugged "LAN" cables but I haven't unplugged ISCSI cable. Do you think is it the reason ?

Yes.

HA heartbeat work not only the SC interfaces, but also between the vmkernel interfaces.
