ISCSI Fail over with SW ISCSI Initiator

Ive got 1x Dell server connected to an ISCSI san via 2x NIC's teamed with the software ISCSI Initiator configured.

Currently ive only got a single switch and im wondering what kind of behaviour to expect when i pull out the cable which is the active path, what kind of times do i expect to see before the other path is used, and also what happens to the VM in the background while the ESX server is unable to communicate with the back end storage.

I think i read some time ago there is some kind of parameter you can change to allow the vm to stay up before ESX powers off, anyone able to point me in the right direction or comment from experience ?

Thanks

Hey,

This document should show you the networking aspect, NIC failover and failback times.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Data_Center/vmware/VMwaredg.pdf

There are posts mentioned to delay the disk timeout of the vm, if running windows via the registry.
