ILO & server hangs not getting any psod error ( ESX 3.5 u5)

Thanks in advance!

I am using HP ProLiant g6 servers with ESX 3.5 u5 installed.

Some of hosts in cluster will hang and the virtual machines are rebooted from other server. We are not getting any psod error or any trace in logs. The host needs to reboot manually. Even there is  no log updates for particular time. Any suggestions to solve this.....

Thanks

Since the VMs are restarted on other hosts, there have to be log entries about HA/Isolation in the log files.

Did you check the ILO Management logs for hardware errors yet?

What about your network? Can you verify the Management Network (Service Console) does not drop?

As a first step, please run a df -h on each host's console to make sure this issue is not caused by a full file system.

Hi,

Had a similar issue in the past and by updating to the latest HP firmware seems to have resolved the problem
